Walk On! Fridays 8:30 AM

by Connie DeLaVergne on March 2, 2012

Friday morning is the best day to plan a regularly scheduled Group Walk, according to my readers and my availability, of course.

(barns at Kelsey Creek Farm)

We chose Kelsey Creek Farm as a meeting spot because it’s a gem-of-a-park with lots of surrounding options for walking. Plus it’s centrally located and a couple of us will be dropping children off at a nearby school beforehand.

It’s a great way to begin the day, getting exercise out of your way! Appears I’m rather poetic today:-)

The path and pace we set for each walk depends who shows up on any particular Friday. ~Another wonderful aspect to making Kelsey Creek Farm the starting point for our weekly Group Walks.

We can walk fast or slow, flat or steep, long or short. It depends on our mood, the weather and what we’re physically up for on any given day.

We walk by consensus because we are a Group, a happy cooperative, fun-loving social Group who enjoy moving our bodies regularly in the beautiful parks of Bellevue, Washington.

This is America and we can do what we want with our bodies, can’t we?

What I’m trying to say is EVERYONE is welcome, whatever your walking ability. We will not begin as racing, power walkers. (Keep in mind I’ve had the last year off from regular walks myself and need to ease back into it.)

My goal is to make these walks enjoyable for everybody. Think of them as social exercise, a FUN opportunity to develop a habit that’s good for you.

Please join us!  Tell your friends about these Group Walks too. The more the merrier!

Walk on my friends,
Walk On!

RE: Group walk on Friday
Do I need to register to this group walk?
I am free this Friday and would like to join this group walk, but not sure if it is still open.

You do not need to register for the Friday Group Walk. Just meet us in the main parking lot at 8:30 AM. I never know who will show up, sometimes there’s 4 or 5 of us, sometimes less but we always enjoy ourselves. Please join us Elaine.
