Get Your Walk On!

Walk On In Bell WA

walkers walk, other people talk about it

We’re taking turns sharing our favorite walks in and around Bellevue and Marlene is sharing her favorite walk, Bridal Trails . . .

Friday Morning 16 March 2012 8:30 WOIB Group Walk

Yep, that’s right. This Friday is our first Group Walk “Share” and Marlene is the first friend up.

Thanks Marlene for taking the lead!

Unfortunately it’s been pouring down rain all week which means the dirt paths in Bridal Trails Park are far too muddy for any of our tastes. Therefore, Marlene is going to share her favorite neighborhood route near Bridal Trails Park.

Meet us at Bridal Trails Red Apple Shopping Center (6625 132nd Ave NE, Kirkland, WA 98033) in front of the Ace Hardware store at 8:30 AM. The link in this paragraph provides a map and directions if you need them.

If it’s an absolute downpour don’t show up for the walk, nobody will be there.
You will find me on a treadmill at 24 Hour Fitness instead.

Walk on my friends.

Walk On!

You’ll know the bridle path because it’s unpaved. We love walking on the soft earth because it’s so forgiving on the old bones, unlike hard pavement. As you step onto it and go northward (to your left), a look back to the right shows the end of the bridal path just beyond the bridge, your destination for the return.

I appreciate the soft earth paths of Bridal Trails, too, Zachery. It’s a dense and beautiful park with enough trails and horses to always keep the walks interesting. One time I actually lost my way but met up with a park ranger and she led me back to a recognizable trailhead. Love this park, too. Thanks for sharing!
